A man in his 30s has gotten a tattoo of a gun and a license to carry a gun in his New Jersey home.
According to a criminal complaint filed in federal court, the man told police he got the tattoo in July 2014 when he was arrested for disorderly conduct in a bar.
The man’s name is Joseph Moore and he was charged with three counts of unlawful possession of a firearm and two counts of unlawfully carrying a concealed weapon.
He is scheduled to be arraigned in a federal courthouse in Camden, New Jersey, on Monday.
He told police that he got his tattoo at a tattoo parlor on the same day he was released from prison for violating parole, the complaint states.
The tattoo depicts a gun with a pistol grip and a bullet hole, with a black background, according to the complaint.
The complaint states that Moore also has a tattoo on his neck of a rifle and a shotgun.
According for a previous criminal complaint, Moore was a member of the Black Panther Party, the Nation of Islam, and the Black Liberation Army.
